After 4 days of intense District Photographic Competition judging, I am ecstatic that all 4 of my images have been accepted into the Merit Collection and will go to the International Photographic Competition in September, where they will be judged again for the prestigious Imaging Excellence (formerly Loan) Collection – and that judging will determine the color of my medal. ๐

I am honored to have three of my images selected as finalists for the Fine Art Photography Awards! “Bashful” and “The Mad Drag Queen” were nominated in the Professional Wildlife/Animals category, and “Moonwalk” was nominated in the Professional Landscape category. ๐

What a night! TPPA Awards Night was a fabulous in-person event complete with many friends and much to celebrate! I was honored to receive my Full Fellowship and my commemorative plaque for being on the 2021 Executive Council. I was also recognized as a Gold Medalist for my images at the annual Print Competition, where 6 of my images received Merits and 2 received the new Texcellence Award. ๐

American Society of Photographers’ inaugural photographic competition was a huge success! Hundreds of beautiful images were judged and the PPA-approved jurors spent a whole day providing valuable feedback as we prepare for the final deadline to enter the PPA District Competition. 6 of my images received Merit scores! ๐

“The Mad Drag Queen” received BEST IN SHOW in Fusion Art’s โInto the Wildโ Exhibition! “Feeling Blue” and “Want to be My Friend?” (mistitled on the website) were also finalists. ๐ Artists in 12 countries submitted their artworks of various mediums, and 143 pieces were selected for the show.
