Good News! I have joined the 2021 Executive Council of the Texas Professional Photographers Association. I am honored to have been chosen to serve as a Councilor at Large.

The Dallas PPA annual Awards Ceremony is always a wonderful celebration of members’ achievements! I brought home a Diamond Medal and Top Score award for the Scenic Category for my competition images. I also received a Fellowship Plus award and two recognition awards for my service on the Board of Directors, including a Special Thank You from our President.
I was also honored and humbled (and surprised!) to be presented with the Life Membership Award. This honor is bestowed by our President at his/her discretion and is not given every year. It is awarded to “a member whose contributions to the Association and commitment to its objectives have been of an exemplary nature”.

Colors of Humanity Art Gallery selected six of my images for the “Animals” Exhibition! 😀 Artists in 14 countries submitted their artworks of various mediums, and 119 pieces were selected for the show.

Professional Photographers of America’s 2020 International Photographic Competition was a success! My four images were judged first for “Merit”, which all of them received. The second round of judging was for the prestigious “Loan”, which is considered “The Best of the Best”. One of mine received this designation, and all that of that combined equals a Silver Medal!
Judging week is always a rollercoaster of emotions since PPA streams it live, and this is what so many photographers work toward all year. Congratulations to all those who entered, Merited, Loaned, and are finalists for the Grand Imaging Awards. I cannot wait to see what everyone creates next year!
